This is group class open to youth aged 10-24 years only. Please refer to "Private Lessons" for other ages.
The guzheng was popularized from 475-221 B.C.E. (Warring States). Early versions of the zheng had 12 and then 16 strings until the 1960s, when the 21-stringed zheng became standardized. Beginning students will learn plucking and pressure techniques in classical/folk tunes. 12 wk term: 2-6 students incremental duration: 2-60 min, 3-75min, 4/5-90min, 6/120min, 1 student "class" will run 45 min/10weeks for one cycle only.
